Antalya is a city located in the south - west of southern Anatolia, Turkey on the Mediterranean coast. The Taurus Mountains of Anatolia rises alongside the Mediterranean in an east - west direction, this land formation results to coastal plains that are surrounded on one side by the sea and on the other sides by mountains. The city of Antalya lies in one of these plains where the mountain touches the Mediterranean shoreline. The harbor is the oldest part in the city, which features several historic houses that were built according to Greek and traditional Turkish architecture.
