Located northwest of downtown St. Louis, the Lambert-St. Louis International Airport offers various airport transfer services for travelers getting into Gateway City. Named after Olympic medalist and Listerine manufacturer Albert Bond Lambert, this airport has gotten international acclaim after its association with Charles Lindbergh. For public transport option, the Lambert-St. Louis International Airport is connected to the city center via the St. Louis rail system, the Metrolink. It takes about 30 minutes of travel before getting into downtown St. Louis from the airport. Another airport transportation option is through the local buses, the Metrobus and Greyhound, which offers long-distance and intercity services to and from the airport. 

From the airport, travelers can start exploring the largest city in Missouri, a booming hub of commercial, industrial and cultural activity. Known as the Gateway to the West, St. Louis is home to the widely recognizable Gateway Arch, the tallest man-made monument in the United States. Standing at 630 ft (192m), this massive structure was constructed as a memorial to the settlers whose journey started in St. Louis as they explored the western reaches of the United States. The Gateway Arch has its own visitor center, an exhibition of the American West and an observation deck that offers a spectacular view of the city.

St. Louis also has other attractions to offer. The orderly layout means that it’s easy for visitors to get around the city. Music buffs can enjoy the different concerts and music festivals that are being held throughout the year at different venues in St. Louis. For sports fans, they can cheer for the 10-time World Champions St. Louis Cardinals in Busch Stadium.

For those who want some leisurely sightseeing, the city has over 100 parks that offer hiking trails, picnic areas and playgrounds for the kids. The largest park in the city is Forest Park while the most well-known is the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, the site of the famous Gateway Arch. Other notable parks in the area include the Bennett Spring State Park, the Missouri Botanical Garden and Tower Grove Park.
