Almaty Airport is a public international airport owned and operated by JSC Almaty International Airport since 1994. The landing field of this airport is also considered the largest one in the Kazakhstan. Geographically, this is situated about 11 miles from the center of Almaty. This airport started operating in 1935 and first catered to small and civil air crafts.
