Belgorod International Airport
The Belgorod International Airport is located in the city of Belgorod of the Belgorod Oblast region of Russia. Only 4km north of the city, it has a convenient location in the city centre, making it easy for passengers to go to and from the airport. The airport mainly serves the city but it is also serves neighboring areas such as Stary Oskol, which is 143.2 km away.
The airport can accommodate narrow bodied aircrafts such as the Tupolev Tu-154, Airbus A230, Boeing 737 and other aircrafts of similar build. It operates 24/7 and managed by JSC Belgorod Air Enterprise. The airport is also the hub for Centre-South Airlines.
A few airlines operate at the Belgorod International Airport, and these are Gazpromavia, with flights to Moscow-Vnukoro, Novy and Urengoy; NordStar, with flights to Norilsk and Nizhny Novgorod; Polet Airlines with destinations to Moscow-Domodedovo and St. Petersburg; RusLine, with flights to Moscow-Domodedovo; UTair Aviation, with flights to Moscow-Vnukovo; and Yamal Airlines with destinations to Tyumen.
The airport was built in 1954 with a dirt runway. Today, there are two runways at the airport, one is an 8, 202 meter asphalt concrete runway, while the other is a grass airfield of 7, 930 meters.
The airport terminal has modest facilities that are able to serve the needs of its passengers. Sound and monitors for visual information are found all throughout the terminal, with both Russian and English language used for the announcements, making it easy for both locals and foreigners to understand.

A railway station very near the passenger terminal can take passengers to and from the airport, as well as other public modes of transportation such as buses. Passengers arriving can also avail of taxis that can be found outside the arrival hall.
For people arriving in private car, there are both paid and free parking spaces available. Free parking can accommodate 134 vehicles and can be found opposite the new terminal building, while the paid parking can hold 80 cars.

Arrival and Departure Procedures
You will be asked to fill out entry forms which will be presented to the immigration officer. International passengers must present their passport with their visa at the checkpoints. Airport personnel will examine the documents to ensure that the passenger has the right to travel through Russian territory. After the officer stamps your passport, you can proceed to Customs. You will have to fill out another form declaring the articles you have. If you do not have anything to declare, you can skip the Customs and proceed for check-in. Departure procedures are almost the same as the arrival. However, the passenger will have to go through Customs, check-in, and then proceed to Immigration to have his passport stamped.
As of the moment, a new terminal building is being constructed in Belgorod airport. This will house several duty-free shops, sale outlets and VIP lounges for business travelers.
