Why Visit Cape Town?

Cape Town is one of the world’s most beautiful cities, with a wide range of natural attractions and activities available to tourists with a variety of budgets. Here are some of the sights that you must not miss while in Cape Town.

  1. Table Mountain. Cape Town’s most famous attraction, this mountain looms more than 1,000 meters over Turtle Bay and is located within the Table Mountain National Park. Tourists can reach the summit in a few minutes using cable cars, which also features a revolving floor that gives riders a 360-degree view. More adventurous visitors can hike up the mountain using any of the 350 paths which are designed for hikers of various skill levels. The most popular route, however, is the Hoerikwaggo Table Mountain Trail, a three-day guided and fully-catered hike that also includes stops at major attractions such as the District Six Museum and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

  2. Green Point Biodiversity Park. A relatively new attraction, the Park highlights many of the nearly 300 species of fauna found in the Western Cape. Amenities found in the Park include interactive displays, picnic spots, walkways and a children’s play area. The Park is found alongside the Cape Town Stadium and entrance is free.

  3. Kirstenboch Botanical Gardens. The sprawling 528 hectare estate is widely acclaimed as one of the most spectacular botanical gardens in the world. The Gardens features a cultivated garden with many collections of rare and endangered South African plants.

  4. Langa Township. A historically significant neighborhood, Langa was originally established as an exclusively Black African suburb during Apartheid. Walking tours are available with activities for young and older children.

Cape Town airport transfers provide affordable ground transportation to and from the airport to your ultimate destination. And we work closely with our local partner companies to ensure that our airport taxis have zero or very low carbon emissions by running on eco-friendly fuels or by being hybrid vehicles.

Cape Town Airport Guide

Next to Johannesburg, Cape Town is the biggest city in South Africa, having the most population out of all the cities in the country.  The city is home to the seat of South Africa’s National Parliament and is thus considered to be the legislative capital of the country.  According to statistics, Cape Town enjoys the reputation of being the most popular destination in the African continent for tourists from all over the world.  This isn’t at all surprising as it has so many attractions like the Cape of Good Hope, Clifton 4th Beach and Table Mountain.  Also, many consider Cape Town as a surfer’s haven.  And if you’re into animals, you can visit Boulders Beach and view it’s colony of African penguins.

The best way to get to Cape Town is by plane.  The main airport that serves Cape Town and its surrounding areas is the Cape Town International Airport.  Cape Town Airport is one of the busiest and largest airports in Africa.  In 1954, it replaced Wingfield Airodrome as Cape Town’s main airport.  It is located about 12 miles from the city center.  Cape Town International Airport caters to many domestic and international flights from Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe.

As mentioned above, the Cape Town Airport is a major terminal, which means it has a lot of facilities.  You don’t have to worry about food and dining here as the terminal is filled with great places that serve food and drink.  These include Illy Cafe, Subway, Woolworths Foods and Mugg & Bean.  Shopping also won’t be a problem at the airport as there are many shops you can visit.  These include Sunglass Hut, Crocs and La Senza lingerie.  You also don’t have to worry about money matters are there are banks and foreign exchange huts inside the terminals.

When it comes to transportation in Cape Town Airport, you won’t have a problem.  Here, there are many shuttle services that can take you to and from the city proper.  There are also car rental services such as Hertz, Avis and Europcar.  All airport transport services are authorized by terminal authorities, so you can be assured that they are safe.  Getting around the airport itself is also easy as there are pushcarts and luggage services available all throughout the terminals.
