The Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is an airport situated in the Yubei District of Chongquing, People's Republic of China. Its exact location is 21 kilometers north of the city of Chongqing and is one of the principal airports in southwestern China. It is also home to most major airlines such as China West Air, China Express Airlines, Chongqing Airlines and China Southern Airlines, among others.
Chongqiong Airport currently has two terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 is utilized for international flights while Terminal 2, having halls A and B are used for local flights. In January 1990, December 2004 and December 20120 the first, second and the third phases of the airport were already being used by both passengers and airport crews.
30 million passengers are suited to accommodate the domestic terminal whilst the international terminal may operate with a little more than 1 million passengers every year. Presently, there is a new terminal and run way that’s being built in the airport for future use.
