Jakarta has a rich culture and an even richer set of traditions. Most of the historic towns can, in fact, serve as living time machines that can take you back into the olden times. The vivid splashes of color and the preservation of traditional architecture in the city will certainly make a visit to Jakarta a truly eye-opening experience.
Jakarta is the majestic capital of Indonesia. According to most tourists, the city is an interesting combination of rewards and challenges. In a way, this holds true because of the somewhat confusing mix of culture and beliefs in this city. Despite the fact that the city reeks of both good and bad elements, Jakarta is still one city that tourists find worth spending time in.
Because of its location relative to the Earth’s equator, Jakarta has a tropical climate. Therefore, this city only has two main seasons. These are the wet season and the dry season. The city’s average temperatures for both seasons are manageable. However, floods may sometimes occur in low-lying parts of the city.
There are three terminals in the main airport. They are further classified as the local and the international terminals. The recent one was opened during 2009 to cater to more tourists and immigrants.
There are two different customer service desks situated in each Jakarta terminal. These are the tourist information desk and the reception desk. Friendly members of the staff are willing to give you assistance should you find the need for it. The airport has various facilities that you can easily access. If you are on a business trip, you may access the executive lounge. This is located in the departure point of the transit lounge.
