Mallorca is accessible through the different international airports in Europe. There are also available plane rides from Ibiza. The fee is more expensive compared with the cost of ferry rides from neighboring Balearic Islands but it is the quickest way to get there.

There are buses near the arrival hall of the Sant Joan Airport. They can take guests to the central district of Palma. There are car rental offices inside the airport. Visitors should reserve their vehicle ahead of time to avoid inconvenience. There are ferry rides offered in Barcelona and fast boat rides from Alicante.

Most tourist spots are also accessible by bus. But people should remember there are only a few traveling vehicles during weekends. The popular beach resorts in the area include Cala d’Or, Cala Millor, Cala Moraia and Cala Bona. The four facilities host music festivals and offer golf courses and restaurants.

Deia is a well-known artist village in Tramuntana while Esporles and Fornalutx are good places for hikers. Manacor, the 3rd biggest city in the island, is the home of numerous furniture stores and pearl manufacturing shops. The Sunday market in Pollenca offers fresh products like vegetables, fruits and crabs. Tourists can also buy household decorations and miscellaneous items at an affordable price.

Cave explorations are an enjoyable activity that anyone can join. The Coves del Drach is the most popular cave in the area. The S’Abulfera in Alcudia is a bird-watcher paradise since there are different species of migratory and local birds that stay in the marsh.

Food lovers will not go home from Mallorca empty-handed. Local cuisines like Sopes Mallorquines are popular dishes with domestic and overseas tourists. Another mouth-watering food is Sobrassada. It is a sausage made from ground pork, pepper and other various condiments. Sobrassada is eaten with croissant and other types of bread.

Restaurants in Palma are known for offering mouth-watering local and international dishes. Pubs and cafeterias in the village of Algaida host various pubs and cafeterias that offer affordable prices.
