A Trip to Nakhodka, Russia
Nakhodka is definitely a place that you have to discover—it even means “discovery” itself, and the things that the city offers prove it: There are many museums, and art galleries in the area that you can visit. The place is also an economic zone, and attracts many investors. It would be great to visit the city and see its wonders with your own naked eyes. Now where is the Nakhodka airport?
Looking for a place to land
Although there is no official Nakhodka Airport (which can be found in Nakvodka itself), the nearest one is just 93 miles away, and is located in Vladivostok, Russia. The Vladivostok International Airport can be found in Primosrsky Krai, Russia, which is an hour’s drive from the capital of Vladivostok. There are two landing strips. It wasn’t used for commercial flights before, until the airport was renovated in 2005, and was reopened on December 19, 2006. They offer flights from Vladivostok, Russia to Moscow, Beijing (China), Hong Kong, Khabarovsk (Russia), Seoul/Inchon (Korea), Pyongyang (Korea), Krasnoyarsk (Russia) among others.
Customer service is one of the best things about this airport because the staff is really accommodating and cares for the passengers. The Nakhodka airport is also one of the best airports in the whole world — they even offer hotel room packages at the Vladivostok Air Hotel where you can choose among single, double, or triple rooms. Rooms come with a colored TV, refrigerator, and separate bathroom and shower.
Taking the train
From the airport, you can take the Elektrrichka (an electric-operated passenger train) to Partisanszk which will then go to Nakhodka. The first couple of this started operating in 1926 so riding them would be like being in a piece of history, and feeling the whole vibe of the olden times. The ride is also fast, so you wouldn’t have to worry about getting to your destination in time—perfect for the young traveler. It will save you a lot of time.
There are also buses that could take you to Nakhodka, but they will take five hours, which can also be good if you’d like to look at the surroundings and think things through while inside the bus. It will certainly be one great experience whichever way you choose for the city is something that will always stay in your mind whatever happens.
